How the Lotto Max jackpot works
The jackpot starts at $10 Million and grows with ticket sales every time no ticket matches all 7 numbers. It is capped at $90 Million — once sales push the prize pool past the cap, the overflow is paid out as $100,000 MAXPLUS prizes on the same draw, so bigger jackpots also mean more secondary millionaire-makers. Before April 2026 the cap was $80 Million and the overflow was paid as $1,000,000 MAXMILLIONS prizes. Jackpot estimates for the next draw are published by the lottery corporations; this page never projects amounts on its own.
